Here are a few images modified for desktop

By modified” I mean they have in some cases 

 been “softened” to enhance icon, text,

or image contrast on the page.

 Many of these images are  very busy,

and content placed on them  can become

 illegible or obscured. 

 Slight blurring (softening) of tile

images makes content placed

over them stand out quite nicely.

  

BE SURE TO GET  sTile  and make

your own seamless tiles.

 It’s the best tool out there.

background tiles suitable for Web use;

only a couple of these are for wallpaper, only.

However,  you can use these on your

desktop with terrific results.

 

WordPress reduces image dimensions automatically.

I recommend resizing to 600×800 for most tiles;

they will load fast, anyway.
