Dear fellow stargazer.  If you’re new to the “Star Party;”

here are a few common sense viewing tips:

1- To enjoy looking at the night sky you need an unobstructed view

2- and the best darkness available– no house lights or streetlights.

3- You can’t see much over the glow of city lights, either,

4- so look the other way or move your observing site, and

5-  a full moon is better for romance or a movie on TV than stargazing,

so break out the champagne or the popcorn and settle in.

Hey, so much for “no obstructions” or light pollution,

but I saw wonderful things that night

from my observing spot in my North Florida back yard

with my modest little optics.

Happy Looking!
